Qui Sommes-nous ? Le Comité de l’aménagement rural du Nord-Ouest (CARNO) Inc. est un organisme sans but lucratif. Le Comité fut formé en janvier 2002 suite à une conscientisation des intervenants locaux face aux enjeux entourant l’aménagement rural au sein de la région du Nord-Ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick. Cette forme de partenariat implique donc l’ensemble des intervenants prenant part à l’exercice de planification selon leur domaine d’expertise respectif. Mission du CARNO Développer et proposer de façon concertée une planification rurale pour l’ensemble de la région du Nord-Ouest par le biais de l’aménagement intégré du territoire qui tient compte des considérations sociales, environnementales et économiques.

Who Are we? The Committee de l’aménagement rural du Nord-Ouest (CARNO) Inc. is a non-profit organization. The Committee was established in January 2002 following the awareness of the local stakeholders towards the challenges surrounding rural development in the northwestern region of New Brunswick. This form of partnership allows every stakeholders to participate in the planning exercise according to their respective field of expertise. CARNO’s Mission Develop and propose rural planning for the north-west region in a concerted manner and based on integrated land use planning that takes into account the social, environmental and economic considerations of the region. CARNO’s Vision Healthy and sustainable communities for the well-being of present and future generations. Intervention Area The intervention area of the Committee lies within the administrative boundaries of the Madawaska County and a part of the Victoria County.
